The extrajudicial killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and countless other Black individuals are deplorable acts of racial injustice. How often are residents killed by police? Where are the number of deaths increasing or decreasing? How can local government auditors contribute to increasing accountability and transparency as it relates to racial justice in our own communities?
